SUSTAINABILITY
The fashion industry has a great impact on the world of today and tomorrow. We are aware of the part we play in this situation and do not identify as a sustainable brand. We are, however, committed to making better choices every day. By setting up clear goals for the upcoming years we take responsibility and work hard to lower our negative impact step by step. In 2028, we aim to achieve our goals and set new milestones.
Currently, we are focusing on several key areas, including reducing plastic usage, improving garment quality, and increasing recyclable materials. We also want to provide transparency in our product chains and in collaborations worldwide. On this sustainability page, you can find elaborate information on each of these topics that provide insight into our steps toward a healthier fashion industry.
Do you have a question or want to inspire us to do better? Feel free to send us an e-mail through csr@yaya.nl. We would love to hear your thoughts.
Project Livinglab Sustainable Fashion
YAYA takes part in the Livinglab Sustainable Fashion (LLSF), together with partners such as Inholland University of Applied Sciences. This collaboration brings together education, businesses and regional initiatives and is co-funded by the European Union.
Within this project, we explore how local fashion and textile ecosystems can contribute to Reduce, Refuse & Rethink. The focus is on knowledge sharing, comparing regional ecosystems, and rethinking marketing and business models within the industry.
The project aims to:
- Deepen understanding of how local ecosystems can support Reduce, Refuse & Rethink;
- Create learning communities where regions exchange insights and experiences;
- Explore and gain hands-on experience with sustainable marketing within the local market.
