Reducing C02 emissions

Reducing CO2 emissions within the fashion industry is crucial. Like other fashion brands, we must and want to adhere to the Paris Climate Agreement. We are gradually measuring our energy consumption to be able to reduce it effectively. This is done in three phases.

FIRST PHASE

In this phase, we focus on our headquarters in Halfweg. Energy consumption is measured, and we identify areas where reductions can be made to take targeted action.

SECOND PHASE

In the second phase, we scrutinize the energy consumption of our direct energy suppliers to identify areas for improvement.

THIRD PHASE

The third phase involves all our chains, our producers, and everything we purchase in terms of raw materials.

WHAT YOU CAN DO YOURSELF

Once a clothing item is sold, the responsibility is partially passed on to the wearer. Did you know that 40% of a clothing item's eco footprint is determined by the wearer? How you care for your clothing can make a big difference. Try to enjoy your clothing items for as long as possible and only wash them according to the care instructions to extend their lifespan. Need help understanding the care labels? You can find a detailed explanation on our Fabric & Care page.

Washing and drying your clothes less frequently can also make a significant difference, reducing your CO2 emissions and ensuring that clothing items last longer. If you no longer have a use for a clothing item, consider giving it a second life by selling or donating it. If you have a lot of unworn clothing in your closet, be extra selective with your next purchase and go for items that truly match your style and are easy to combine.
